Lydia Kjellberg is educated at the Stockholm University of the Arts (formerly the University of Opera). In the summer of 2023, Lydia had a big breakthrough as Lady Macbeth in Läckö Opera's production of Macbeth. Lydia participated in Die Zauberflöte in Vattnäs Konsertlada as a much acclaimed Queen of the Night in the summer of 2022. In 2022-2023, she underwent the prestigious Opera Pro development program and her rich repertoire ranges from Mimi in La Boheme to more dramatic coloratura as Nattens Drottning in Die Zauberflöte. In autumn 2023, Lydia played the role of Doreen in the opera Sylvia about the writer Sylvia Plath with Piteå Chamber Opera by the composer Andrea Tarrodi. During New Year's week, Lydia sings the role of Ida in Vattnäs Konsertladas' production of Die Fledermaus. She also likes to sing concert repertoire and is a soprano soloist in the entire repertoire, from Handel's Messiah to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem, which she recently sang in the Oscar Church (Nov 2023). Lydia received the Swedish Wagner Society's Bayreuth scholarship in 2022, and was selected to participate in a concert at Villa Wahnfried with great acclaim from the audience and press.
