Martin Sturfält together with Swedish Radio Choir in Petite Messe Solenelle by Rossini
Gioacchino Rosssini is famous for attractive and humorous operas like The Barber of Seville and The Thieving Magpie. His last major work, however, is something entirely different: Petite messe solennelle, stylistically wide-ranging with remnants from Bach and Haydn as well as forward-looking shades of Fauré or Poulenc. Conductor laureate Peter Dijkstra leads the Swedish Radio Choir in Kungsholm Church.
The concert will be broadcasted in the Swedish Radio P2 Friday, June 14 at 7:03 pm.
