Our Anna Larsson will be chairman of the judging panel at Classical Singing Competition DEBUT Sept 18-25
Classical Singing Competition Debut states: We are pleased to introduce our chairwoman of the judging panel: Anna Larsson.
Anna Larsson has already been chairwoman of the jury in 2020, making this her second time at DEBUT.
The Swedish singer made her international debut in Mahler's Second Symphony with the Berlin Philharmonic and Claudio Abbado in 1997, and her operatic debut the following year as Erda in Wagner's Das Rheingold at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin.
Anna Larsson has successfully performed almost all alto roles at the world's greatest opera houses. She regularly sings with all the major orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
She has been a Swedish Court Singer since 2010 and received 2 gold medals from King Charles XVI Gustav of Sweden.

DEBUT is an international Classical Singing Competition, which supports young opera singers embarking on their career. The contest is open to the following voice types: soprano, mezzo-soprano & alto, tenor, countertenor and baritone & bass. It gives young soloists an opportunity to appear in a competition with a strong international profile in the presence of a distinguished judging panel. The event is held every second year in Weikersheim, which following a three-month entry phase serve as the venue for the preliminary rounds and the competition.
The next DEBUT Classical Singing Competition will take place from 18 to 25 September 2022.
