Our Linnea Nordenback sings Four silent songs with Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra May 7.

Silences – From poetry to symphonic music Helsingborg Concert Hall and Helsingborg Library have named Vera Worbin as the winner of the 2024 Poetry Competition with the theme “Silences”. Composer Natalie Schäfer was commissioned by the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra to set Vera’s suite of poems to music. The work will have its world premiere on May 7 when the symphony orchestra, together with soprano Linnea Nordenback, performs the work “Four Silent Songs”!
Composers of Tomorrow

One of Helsingborg Concert Hall's most important collaboration projects is between Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and the programs at Malmö Academy of Music. In addition to the school's orchestra regularly playing guest roles in our concert hall, we also have a strong connection to the composition program, where tomorrow's composers improve and develop. Together with the musicians in HSO, the composition students get to hone the music that the students have worked on during their studies. During the project week, the students get to experience how the collaboration with the orchestra and the conductor works in practice, and the end result is something we all get to hear at a final concert where the music from tomorrow's composers can be heard.
