Alva Olsson is a young and extremely talented lyric soprano. She made her professional operatic debut with great acclaim in July 2022 as a sensational Pamina in Mozarts Die Zauberflöte in Vattnäs Concert Barn, Mora. Her classical singing training started at Södra Latins Musikgymnasium, followed by Operastudio Kapellsberg, German and French studies at Stockholm University and the advanced artist program Opera Pro. Alvas current singing teacher is Anna Larsson.

Alva has received multiple scholarships, among others Ester Sidnérs Stipendium, Ekerö Kommuns Kulturstipendium and Ruby & Lars Ullmans Stipendium.
The summer of 2022, Alva made her professional operatic debut as Pamina in “Die Zauberflöte” in Vattnäs Concert barn, conducted by Mattias Böhm. Her recent engagements also include the Christmas Concert at Norrlandsoperan 2021, where she performed scenes from “Don Giovanni” (Mozart), “Le Nozze di Figaro” (Mozart) and “Manon” (Massenet) with Musiksällskapet Symphony Orchestra. Since the age of 17 she has been hired frequently as a soprano soloist in sacral masses including Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Gloria (Vivaldi) and parts of Messiah (Händel). She has also been a soloist at choir concerts in Berwaldhallen and Stockholm Concert house.
During her studies Alva has sang roles such as Pamina (“Die Zauberflöte”, Mozart), Zerlina (“Don Giovanni”, Mozart), Despina (“Così fan tutte”, Mozart), Susanna (“Le Nozze di Figaro”, Mozart), Manon (“Manon”, Massenet), Gilda (“Rigoletto”, Verdi) and Norina (“Don Pasquale”, Donizetti). She began her music studies at Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser in Stockholm and in well-renowned Adolf Fredriks Flickkör. During her studies she has participated in various young artist programs, including Solo Vocal Artist Summer Program at Westminster Choir College (USA) and Lyric Opera Studio Weimar 2022 (Germany), where she also performed the role of Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart), conducted by Olaf Storbaek.
